It’s not just about that famous saying “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” So-called Sin City, with its wild pool parties and high-stakes casinos, also offers lots when it comes to family-friendly entertainment. If you’re wondering if you should bring the kids on vacation, or even make a move, buying one of the Las Vegas houses for sale, the answer is definitely “yes.”
Bring the kids and they can experience everything from thrilling roller coaster rides to exciting shows and even close encounters with wildlife.
If you aren’t moving here, there are some great places to stay for families like Circus Circus, ideal for those with little ones as it has a massive carnival area for playing games and winning prizes, along with free, family-friendly circus acts performing throughout the day. Or stay at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino which has the look of the Big Apple along with an on-site roller coaster and an arcade with video games. The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino boasts one of the best pool complexes for families – there’s even a wave pool, lazy river, and a sandy beach.
These are just a few of the other reasons to bring the kids.
While there are plenty of adult-oriented shows, there’s lots for the whole family like
Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theatre, which features ordinary animals that were rescued by shelters doing extraordinary things. Popovich himself has a background of performing in the circus and is impressive as well with his balancing and juggling acts.
The Mac King Comedy Magic Show blends unique magic tricks with humor appropriate for kids and adults. Plus there are afternoon matinee shows so younger ones won’t have to stay up too late.
There are many epic rides in Vegas that are sure to thrill adults and kids alike, including the High Roller which was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel at 550-feet-fall until October 21, 2021 when Dubai’s began operating, taking the honor at 820 feet. Still, it’s one of the best ways to see the famous Strip from above, with sleek orbs carrying passengers high into the sky.
Plus, there are numerous roller coasters like the Canyon Blaster at Circus Circus and rides like the X-Scream which propels passengers 27 feet over the edge of the STRAT Hotel where you’ll briefly dangle right over The Strip.
In Vegas, you can find anything, even animals to see up close. That includes bottlenose dolphins, leopards, and white tigers in a beautiful green space at The Mirage.
Meanwhile, Mandalay Bay hosts the Shark Reef Aquarium with 14 different shark habitats along with many types of fish and in the Touch Pool, there are rays, horseshoe crabs, and even sharks. Plus, just outside the city is Lion Habitat Ranch, an African lion sanctuary.
Vegas is a foodie city but it doesn’t only cater to those looking for high-end dining experiences. There’s plenty for the kids, in fact, you can even let them indulge in a breakfast they’ll probably never forget at Maxie’s.
Located between the LINQ Hotel and Flamingo toward the back of the LINQ Promenade, they can order pancakes topped with Fruit Pebbles or cotton candy. You’ll find lots of great pizza places, and at the Rainforest Cafe you can dine with the sounds of the jungle, complete with animatronic birds, snakes, monkeys, butterflies, a tiger, and a crocodile.
