Skout App Review – Real Dates or Fake Scams?

One of my favorite new dating apps is Skout, a social dating app founded by the Meet Group. This app is quickly becoming one of my favorite tools for meeting women anywhere in the world because it’s location-based and 100% free to use.

If you want extra features and the removal of ads, you can upgrade for only $9.99 per month. In this review, I’m going to talk about the pros and cons of using the app, things I like and things I don’t like about this app.

Why Use Skout?

Tinder is well known as the most popular dating app in the world but I never had a positive experience using the swipe feature in general. Swiping left or right is a quick and easy way to meet women but the ROI has been reduced since most guys “swipe right” on every girl and ruin the ratio of matches for most women. What ends up happening is the most attractive girls get a ton of matches while most guys don’t get as many.

What’s even worse is that Tinder has a lot of ladyboys and transgender women if you use the Tinder app in Asia. I deleted the app from my phone because I wasn’t getting much value out of it.

Enter Skout.

Skout is a much better overall app because not only is it location based like Tinder, but you can choose between the Match feature or simply search for girls based on proximity. This is much easier to filter out girls who live further away and meet ladies within a few miles of your location.

Plus, it’s hard to beat the 100% free price unless you want to upgrade to a premium account. You can also post updates using a feature called Buzz if you want to post photos and text updates to attract users to your profile.

The entire app has a less creepy, more social vibe and I’m enjoying my time on it a lot more.

Meeting Girls on Skout

It’s pretty easy to meet girls on the app. Simply download the app from the Google Play or iPhone store and create your profile.

You can upload photos, fill out your profile information, and set your location so girls can see how far you are from their current location. The location feature accesses the GPS tracking in your phone so your location updates automatically as you move around town. Pretty cool.

If you want to chat with somebody, you send a Chat Request to your profile and they can accept or block your request.

Response rates are pretty good and I’ve met a few nice girls using this app. The good thing is you can use Skout anywhere so it works whether you are living overseas, staying in the USA, or anywhere else in the world.

Go Live Feature

Unlike Tinder, Skout offers a cool feature similar to Youtube Live! Called Live where you can live stream video from your smartphone and attract viewers to your stream. Viewers can send you gifts, which are redeemable for cash. There are lots of Skout members earning good money through their live stream content but of course, the majority of high earners are young, beautiful women.

Skout Premium

If you want more features and zero ads, then upgrade to Skout Premium for $10 per month. The premium add-on has several cool features including:

  • Removal of all ads
  • Boost your profile to the top of search results
  • Skip your chats to the front of her inbox
  • See who’s interested by finding out who swiped right on your profile

I do have a premium account but haven’t seen too many changes in response rates since I activated it. I’ll keep my premium account for 30 days and update this article with my findings.

Conclusion

Skout is a great dating app for meeting women and I’m using it more and more every day. It’s my favorite Tinder alternative and I recommend downloading it for free and checking it out if you want to meet more women online. It works great in America, Asia, Africa, and even Latin America.
